In the stable horse photographs above there are a few that are extra special to me. This Colt Head Shot shows an Arabian colt with the hair on his head clipped short. This is normally done when an Arabian is ready for his first set of photos. A full body clip is done at a later date when the horse is ready for his first show.
I love watching the new foals run and play with their moms, this shot of Bay Mare and Foal Running is an excellent example. While the new foals are running and playing sometimes they get a little to far from their moms and you have a Talking Baby Horse crying out for mom.
The foals soon grow into yearlings and moms are not nearly as important. They still love to run and play, as most horses do. If you watch close enough, and have your camera ready, you might just catch them Off The Ground.
This Sleeping Foal is less than an hour old. It appears from the photo this foal is lucky enough to have three moms.
